What’s happened as Somers continues its upward expansion?

It’s been another great year in the Village of Somers.

We have seen growth again in 2024 with the opening of the Mission94 Firearms Education Center and Bobcat Plus dealership.

We are looking forward to more development in 2025. We approved a service center at the entrance of the Village on Highway E and the East Frontage Road. It will include an Arby’s, a sit-down restaurant and a new-to-the-area coffee shop: Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii.

Part of the development includes a dual-branded Avid Hotels and Candlewood Suites that will feature both short- and long-term stays. The hotel is something that the two colleges in Somers have been very supportive of and the village has been working on for a long time.

We are also looking forward to the new-to the area Tropical Smoothie location at Market Place.

More buildings are being built at Savannah at Pike Creek neighborhood at the corner of 18th Street and Green Bay Road. People have already moved into the completed apartments. We hope this will help address the local housing shortage. We are also working on additional housing projects that we hope to announce soon.
