The Kenosha Area Business Alliance announces hiring of new vice president of economic development

The Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) is thrilled to announce that Jason Peters will be joining the organization as its next Vice President of Economic Development. His first day with KABA will be May 1.

Peters will assist with corporate attraction and retention efforts, as well as community development and housing initiatives. His extensive experience in economic development, and strong track record of community leadership will serve the KABA organization well.

With nearly ten years of economic development experience, Peters most recently served as the Administrator for the Village and Town of Somers, a position he held since 2018. During his time in Somers, he oversaw the approval of more than five million square feet of Class A industrial and/or warehousing facilities and facilitated many community developments including the Hawthorn Apartments and the Pritzker Military Archive.

Peters is a licensed attorney serving ten years in private law practice. He has previously served as a City Councilperson for the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin, and is a former member of the City of Anoka Minnesota’s Economic Development Commission.

Peters received a Bachelor of Science degree in public administration, business management and technology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He subsequently received his Juris Doctor and master’s in public administration from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is married with one daughter and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Scarlet.  He is an avid Packers fan, golfer, and lover of live music.
