Snap-on buys more industrial space in Kenosha County for growth

Snap-on Inc., needing more building space to allow for growth, bought an empty industrial facility in Pleasant Prairie from Milwaukee developer Zilber Property Group for $9.2 million.

That 121,000-square-foot facility formerly was home to M.G. Design Associates Corp., which announced plans in spring 2018 to halt its operations there. Zilber Property Group, which is among the most active southeast Wisconsin companies in the Kenosha County industrial market, acquired the property in August 2019 with plans to find a new company for the building.

Snap-on (NYSE: SNA), based in Kenosha, responded to questions with an emailed statement, saying the purchase furthers the company’s commitment to the area. Snap-on makes tools for a variety of applications.

“Plans for the property will be announced in the coming months,” Snap-on said.

The building is at 8778 100th St. in the LakeView Corporate Park. Zilber acquired it for $6.84 million last year, according to state records.
