A night for applause for the county’s business community

They’re blazing a trail and they deserved the applause they received last week at the sold-out Kenosha Area Business Alliance Ovation Awards ceremony.

It’s clear why Todd Battle, president of KABA, called it a favorite night of the year. On display were the best of Kenosha County businesses sharing inspiring stories of hard work and dedication.

Among the winners was Crystal Miller, president of Frontida Assisted Living, now with 10 locations. She received the entrepreneur of the year award.

Miller shared she has always had the entrepreneurial spirit and she kept working toward a goal.

“One of the greatest honors is to be called an entrepreneur,” she said. “An entrepreneur is someone who is blazing a trail. I have dreamed of being here.”
