Uline Inc., one of North America’s leading distributors of shipping, industrial and packaging materials, continues to need hundreds of new hires for warehouse, corporate and customer service positions in Kenosha County, and plans to fill the jobs by year’s end.
The first hiring session was held July 13. Customer service and warehouse hiring sessions will also be held on Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. Uline is seeking to hire about 120 warehouse and 40 customer service employees.
Brad Harper, Uline’s branch manager at 12355 Uline Way in Kenosha, said the first hiring session demonstrated a good turnout.
“We’re happy with the progress we’re making,” he said.
The massive hiring campaigns complement the company’s expansive growth in the region.
“Kenosha has really given us the opportunity to expand our campus and keep up with our growth,” said Harper. “Kenosha gave us the available land, the available buildings, available people.”
According to previous Business Journal reports, Uline facilities in Kenosha County occupy 10 million square feet of space. The company bought 350 acres along I-94 near Highway 142. The land will house four future warehouses totaling 4.5 million square feet. Uline is also set to lease a 1 million-square-foot building in Bristol, which is set to open in October.
Harper noted that it’s too early to comment on the numbers of hires needed to accommodate such extensive growth. As of right now, Uline employs approximately 3,500 people in Kenosha County.
“We believe in hiring really great people that we can develop and grow throughout our organization,” Harper said.
