Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum has been recognized as a Project Lead the Way Distinguished School at the elementary and middle school levels.
“We knew it would be a strong competition, but we knew that we’ve had PLTW since we opened our doors in 2007 and really integrate how we teach science,” said Principal Angela Andersson, who oversees schools at KTEC-East, 6811 18th Ave., and KTEC-West at 5710 32nd Ave.
KTEC is one of just 97 schools in the U.S. to receive the Distinguished School honor for the grade K-5 Launch program and one of 110 schools honored for its grade 6-8 Gateway program. The Distinguished School recognition honors schools committed to increasing student access, engagement and achievement in their programs.
