KABA Fundamentals of Supervision Series

The Supervision Management series introduces participants to the concepts of management and the qualifications required to become an exemplary supervisor. All course instructors are certified, experienced managers that utilize case studies and encourage class participation.  It consists of three separate courses (or ‘series’ of classes) which meet for two hours per week for six weeks and focuses on the following:

 Series 1 – Leading & Communicating

  • The Leader’s Job
    Personal excellence, aligning, conversing, collaborating
  • It’s All About the Humans
    Some of what we must know about behavior in order to lead
  • Beyond “Don’t do that!”
    Supervision communication that works
  • My Dysfunctional Work Family
    How work behaviors mirror family dynamics and how to make peace
  • Onboard, Not Overboard
    Introducing new employees with the least negative impact on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Fear No Review!
    How to deliver formal and informal performance feedback
Date: Tuesday, August 18 and Fridays, August 21 – September 18, 2020
Time: 10:00 am – Noon
Location: KABA Training Center | 5500 6th Avenue, Suite 200
Cost: Members – $270 | Non-Members – $355
At this time the Fundamentals of Supervision classes are scheduled to be held virtually.  Participants will need to utilize a computer or other device with a webcam in order to participate in the class.  Classes may transition to in-person if/when possible.
