Racing manufacturer Five Star expanding main Kenosha County campus

Five Star Fabricating, a Kenosha County manufacturer that specializes in composite bodies for race cars, is expanding its headquarters by adding a 10,000-square-foot expansion across from its main campus.

The expansion will cost approximately $13 million, according to Garrett Schultz, a program manager with the company, but much of that funding will be covered by as much as $10 million in industrial revenue bonds financed by the town of Randall. Five Star is a family company run by Schultz’s father Carl, the company’s president and CEO.

Garrett Schultz said the expansion was motivated by “consistent year-over-year growth” for the company and some new contracts, especially in the company’s “rapidly expanding” racing division. Those contracts included a few with stock car racing giant NASCAR.
