Good Foods brings freshness to the kitchen

As consumers increasingly demand fresher, healthier, all-natural foods, grocers are scurrying to find better food sources.

That has the food industry turning to new processes. One of those, known as high cold pressing, has made the Good Foods Group a leader in the industry.

Specializing in cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices, guacamole dips, salsas and grain salads, the Pleasant Prairie-based company produces private-label store-brand foods. It also is expanding its portfolio of items under its own name.

Since relocating to Pleasant Prairie in 2013 to a 110,000 square-foot building with 50 employees, Good Foods has grown its workforce to 500, and founder and chief executive officer Kurt Penn has worked to ensure that Good Foods is a good place to work.
